cargo dumping: feature request

When you open the cargo hold and dump cargo, could you not go back and pick it up? Instead, the cargo enigmatically disappears. This is especially strange because if you destroy a ship, all that is left is the cargo, so it would appear that cargo containers must be made of tough stuff. Why is it, then, when you dump cargo, it vanishes instantly?

Maybe we should have it drop the containers so you can go back and pick them up.

Also, when I'm attacking a red, if it dropped containers, I might let it go ;-)

You need to jettison the cargo and not discard it. Then you can turn around and go retrieve it. If you leave it behind for too long, it will be lost to other ships.
