If you play "dogfight" in multiplayer you can only choose a certain restore count. For 1v1 or 2v2 is this somehow broing in my oppinion.
I would like to see in one of the next game updates, that we could choose a time frame (10 mins, 20 mins etc) and get as many kills as possible. When the time is up, the one with the most kills wins.
How about this?
Another update that I would like to see is that the game is able to detect internal ip automaticaly. Right now I always have to enter it by hand when hosting a game, so it would be very nice and helpful if the game is able to detect the ip automaticaly.
With selectable time intervals in place of restores perhaps? Say, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes? And you probably want unlimited lives in that mode, right?
Ok, I'll add it to the list. A lot will likely be taking place over the next couple of weeks/months in general, but I'll try to fit this in for the next planned update.
Ok, here's some info on what I've been working on. After some coding and testing, this seemed like the best way to go:
- A timed dogfight mode alone is pretty cool, but the other modes are fun with a time limit also. So I'm implementing three new gameplay modes for Dogfight, Cooperative, and Squadrons that will support timed intervals.
- You will be able to select time limits in 5 minute intervals ranging from 5 to 30 minutes (3 as a minimum was just too short).
- The time remaining will be displayed at the top right of the screen. It will change color from white to yellow when 60 seconds remain. Then red when 30 seconds remain.
- You'll be given 99 restores for timed modes since the gameplay is more about getting the most kills in the shortest amount of time. Score credit is given exclusively for the number of kills you get (not for remaining lives plus kills as with the non-timed modes).
