In demo, cannot map throttle or roll to the desired axis. When I try to map roll to axis 3 and throttle to axis 4, it maps roll to the the throttle axis 4 and maps the throttle to axis 3 no matter what I do in the options. Pitch and yaw are mapped
correctly. The game does recognize my joystick. Tried deleting and reinstalling, but it didn't help. Inverting the two axis didn't
help either. The throttle control axis 4 ends up rolling the ship and the twist axis 3 ends up controlling the throttle. Neither work that well and not what I wanted. Also, the screen keeps flickering in the game and I have to click the mouse more than once to do anything in the options and parts of the game. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Demo Issues on Avroch-Alliance
Hello rockhound. Please follow the posting guidelines for this section of the forum for more relevant/accurate support: https://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11271
Specifically, I'd be interested in:
- Make, model, and driver version of the joystick you are using
- Make and model of the PC you are using (desktop or laptop)
- Make, model, and driver version of the GPU you are using
- How much system memory (RAM) and dedicated video memory (GPU) your system has
- Are you using any third-party control input software? If so, which one(s)?
- Version of Windows
- Version of game
I haven't been able to duplicate the behavior you describe, so it may be something system specific or have an unknown cause. Any mapping arrangements I try on my test devices are working correctly.
The flickering and strange mouse input behavior may be related. Knowing more information about the system may eventually help reveal possible causes.
Edit: With no response or follow up being provided, I'll move and close this post for now. If you still need support, feel free to follow up with me via e-mail ( https://www.starwraith.com/contact.htm ) or request that this thread be reopened.

Re: Demo Issues on Avroch-Alliance
Merged new topic with the original.
Did you download the demo from the official website or a different source? If different, what is the version of the game you are using? The version number is displayed in the lower right corner of the main menu.
There may be compatibility problems with Windows 8.1 as 10 is the minimum required version. Windows 8 has been out of service and has lacked third-party driver support for a long time now. So that may be a factor, but it's difficult to know for sure. You could try updating to Windows 10 while it is still available to see if that might help make a difference. Otherwise, the 2021 era display driver and Window 8 scenario may not work reliably with the game. I still wouldn't expect incorrect axis mapping to occur, so I can't really explain that one. But the display and mouse input behavior could be a compatibility issue.

Re: [AA-SE] Mapping Axis Inputs, Rendering, Mouse (Windows 8) *INFO*
I did download the demo from the website, but the possibility of incompatibility from using 8.1 could very well be the problem and it might be a reason for the mapping issues too. I have a laptop with Win10 so I'll give it a shot. What's strange is I have installed and played some games newer than 2021 with Win8.1 with no issues. I'll see what happens. You can close this thread and I'll send a new post of what happened when I have a chance. Thanks for the reply.
