The sound that plays when you hover over menu items triggers my tinnitus (chronic ringing in ears). I've been trying to replace it.
I created a more soothing sound and put it into SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Evochron Legacy\sounds. Is that all you are supposed to do? (source https://www.starwraith.com/evochronlega ... adme.htm#3) It didn't work. My ears are still ringing from checking to see if it would.
Any advice? Thanks in advance.

The filename might not be correct which could cause it to not load. So one thing to check is for the filename to be misspelled or have a redundant extension (such as '.wav.wav') or something. But in short, yes, you can use the \sounds folder (in whatever folder the game's EXE is) and the filename mapclick.wav inside that folder.

Or you can do what I do: turn off the sound completely. Because, in space, nobody can hear you sing.

I can't remember what I had it named before, but it wasn't mapclick.wav. When I changed it, it started working. Thanks for the tip!Vice wrote:The filename might not be correct which could cause it to not load.
