Is the Legacy universe peppered with all the unknown systems like Mercenary was? I went out to a few coord's I had saved and didn't find the systems but he galaxy has changed* alot so I wasn't sure if there are just new hidden systems now.

Aries, Deneb, Cerulean, Virgo and Pearl hidden planets still exist. Aries and Cerulean coordinates were changed. Cerulean hidden planet changed it economy type. I found them all except Pearl.

Some things moved. Some things have been added. For example, there is now one mysterious object in each of the four quadrants.

Re: EL Exploring
Thanks guys, I'll have to go hunting for those.
and wow, at first I thought exploring was going to be harder because in EM I relied on the Perch cockpit's star finders and the EL update for the mod doesn't have those ... but then I found it doesn't need them now because stars are visibie from a distance!
I went out and discovered an uncharted system about 700 sectors south east of Sapphire, with a (T) planet and 100 Econ, put down a flag and started building a city.

Yes, being able to see a distant star really helps. And it looks even more impressive if you have a low-level jump drive (so that you slowly creep up on the star and watch it get a little bigger with each jump). Also, at least one of the default quests points you in the direction of a number of new, out-of-the-way objects.

Re: EL Exploring
Hello everybody
I've been searchibng for Hidden Pearl for hours, but I just can't seem to find it. So I'd be really glad if you guys could help me out here.
What I've done so far is going to coordinates where Hidden Pearl used to be in EM - no luck, obviously. Then I searched a square around that place, sector by sector, but to no avail. The same goes for the coordinates that are provided in the Evochron Legends Strategy Guide. Then I tried the triangulation method and determined three border points between the system I believe Hidden Pearl is in and neighboring systems. That failed as well, maybe because I only had coordinates of two planets while I don't know the third one.
Anyway, it stopped being fun hours ago, so any support would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Haven't been there in quite awhile (currently stuck out in the boonies) but, IIRC, it's 4 up and 3 over. In any case, once you find the correct sector, it should show up on the left-hand-side list (Navigation map). I found it by first assuming it was north of the entry point and, from there, doing a search pattern until I came across the correct sector.

Re: EL Exploring
To everyone reading this
The post above has been the beginning of a long and constructive PM conversation between Marvin and me, which we held in private to avoid spoilers. He has been very supportive and helped me a lot during my search for Hidden Pearl.
The first thing we figured out is that the hint he mentions in the post above isn’t for Hidden Pearl. It’s for another hidden planet in a nearby system.
After hours of sector-by-sector- and grid-searching, Marvin did some research and found out, that certain events in the history of the Evoverse had led to the destruction of Hidden Pearl. That’s the reason why it exists in EM but not in EL anymore. So don’t bother looking for it… I learnt that the hard way

Re: EL Exploring
Yup. Not every planet survived the all-out war between the Federation and the Alliance. Granted, hostilities still exist but at least both sides have agreed to dispose of their planet-killing weapons. More to keep them out of the hands of the Vonari than anything else.
