hello. evochron legacy single player mission 3 stage 9. asked me to look for something 80 sectors north from sapphire . went there (o,o,80), scaned hole sector with 8 scaner instalments, even build a base... nothing( need some help.
also looking for friends or clan to play mp. and i need a combat instructor. in discord im Tarik#4015. feel free to add and pm me there.

hq intelligence has furthewr isolated the energy source to an area eighty sectors north of sapphire. employ a search pattern around that location, and as your sensor readings are transmitted to us, we will relay them to central command for analysis.

i covered all sector - placed 8 sensor stations (that covers 4 above and 4 below. ie 50k 50k 50k , 50k 50k -50k, -50k 50k -50k, -50k 50k -50k, and 4 more with -50k second coord. that covers whole sector)
i jumped to all secrors 2 sectors radius and plased 1 sensor in the middle (0 0 0) - nothing(((
sor not radius - didnt jump above or below. so i covered a square from -2 0 78 to 2 0 82 sx sy sz. compleet scaned 0 0 80 and scanned only mid in rest sectors. thats 25 sectors total. i also used external camera and tryed to locate anything unusual visually - nothing. maybe im missing something. they say about strange readings. send me to sapphire, asced to place a station (fob - forward base of operations) and after that gave me this 80 sectors north msg and im stuck

Your search pattern should've taken you at least two sectors in each direction. When in sector 2,0,80 you should've gotten a message to continue searching east. Upon reaching sector 8,0,80 you should've gotten a follow-on message directing you to your next location.
Sometimes the quest is more difficult than it need be. To make it easier, you can load the quest (in your case, Quest2.txt*) using Notepad and delete every line which begins with QuestLHide= ... to reveal all otherwise hidden waypoints. Then save the file.
* The numbering system for most game files starts with zero (0) but will be listed in the game starting with one (1). For example, Quest2.txt will be listed in-game as Quest 3.
