1.) Why can't I build and buy anything bigger than a Talon?
2.) Am I allowed to have more than one ship to run my own fleet and why can't I outfit both instead of one going into storage?
3.) What is the huge rock with the rectangular hole in it, in the starting system for?
4.) Why doesn't the rotating picture of the ship change when I pick a different frame and engines, wings ect.... ?
5.) Where can I find out the price of the ship I have designed and not just be told I can't afford to purchase that ship?
6.) why was there no complete instruction manual made for this game explaining everything and not just how to fly and kill other players?
Answer these and I have a lot more... Thanks

Re: Help Needed
For starters, it will help others to know which Evochron game you are referring to, just in case any differences may apply for any of your questions. I may move this over to that forum as well since this is related to that game and is probably better placed there rather than the general forum. I'll proceed from the perspective you are running the latest game in the series, Evochron Legacy.

Reasons can include insufficient credits or location. For military spacecraft, it's rank.1.) Why can't I build and buy anything bigger than a Talon?
You can hire AI controlled ships as part of your single player fleet and you can own more than one frame at a time. Outfitting a ship always requires enabling/retrieving/buying whichever one you want and then using the shipyard and/or the inventory console to set it up.2.) Am I allowed to have more than one ship to run my own fleet and why can't I outfit both instead of one going into storage?
One of many locations you can explore, sometimes they have a benefit, such as cover or hidden items, sometimes just scenery.3.) What is the huge rock with the rectangular hole in it, in the starting system for?
Did you drag and drop them items onto the ship, or just click to highlight them for information?4.) Why doesn't the rotating picture of the ship change when I pick a different frame and engines, wings ect.... ?
Top middle section, right side. The left side is the specifications for your current ship and its value, the right side is for the ship you are designing.5.) Where can I find out the price of the ship I have designed and not just be told I can't afford to purchase that ship?
There is the 'ReadMe.htm' documentation included with the game. It also includes things like how to use the shipyard. It is available in the game's install folder as well as from the training menu ('Close game and view instructions'). You can also view it online here: http://www.starwraith.com/evochronlegac ... readme.htm6.) why was there no complete instruction manual made for this game explaining everything and not just how to fly and kill other players?

Re: Help Needed
1.) I am playing Evochron Mercenary
2.) I am a miner/trader
2a.) Location is in the starting galaxy
2b.) Never saw anything about AI ships for hire
3.) Nothing there, I was hoping to find a few dead bodies with some coin on them
4.) It didn't matter what I did the picture never changed from a Talon to any other ship I was trying to look at or build.
5.) nice to know but since I only get a picture of a talon the price never changed from the $463,000 and change the Talon was worth and what it said a new ship (another talon) even though I picked another ship to build.
6.) Never saw that either. All I saw were the training feature which I took. Ok thanks for the answers and I'll try to learn all this stuff from the manual.
