Deploying ship's landing legs

Post by DaveK »

In the past I've 'landed' on the surface and then used 'down strafe' to force myself further down until the legs deployed. I could then sit and think and have a coffee without using fuel ;D

That method isn't working anymore - I am pushed lower but the legs don't deploy - has the method changed or am I unlucky? Can anyone suggest a working method?

:)

:P It was working a couple weeks ago. Actually, it was working better than expected for Diana.

Check to see if any residual control input may be getting applied that may be causing your ship to drift. Where you land can have an effect as well (try to find a nice level area).

A thing that has given me issues at times is a kind of buffering lag, like the detail texturing on the planet's surface has to take a minute to catch up. This has caused my ship to kind of stall mid-flight during ground approach while the flight path indicator bounces like a bath salt baby until I reduce speed or level out. Could be something similar causing your landing issue.
