Zoom from pilot view

I also tried to research this but didn't find anything related.

Is there a function or key binding that can magnify the view from the pilot screen? I know you can zoom from the navigator screen(map), but I'm hoping there is a way to change magnification for the pilot view screen...i.e. Star Trek. Thanks

No, in first person view mode, the pilot's view is locked to their helmet at a fixed perspective with no FOV zooming or artificial magnification. You can however switch views to external modes or padlock the pilot's view to the current target.
