Hi,
I am brand new to this game and very earnestly trying to avoid seeing any sort of spoilers, which makes coming to the forums a bit of a risk but I have to ask a question...
If I install an MP server for my family and friends, and log into it instead of running the game on my local machine, will I get the same experience? Meaning, will any sort of quest chain or story be available in the multiplayer game?

If you're talking about Legacy, the quests can only be done while in SP. You won't even get the menu option when in MP.-

What about the quests you stumble upon? Like the one for the TW?

The "quests" revealed when you come across a buoy or wreck can be done in either MP or SP.
