I think the Evochron Legacy Earth landing video is a glitch.

The video posted to Vimeo of the supposed earth landing in evochron legacy seems to have some visual aspects that make me think it's either a {deleted} or a glitch. At around 10:30 he goes from first person to cinematic view, and his display screens stick to the defense ring, as if there's a missing texture there. at first I thought it was just his video capture messing up, but I think it's too precise to be that. There are lots of people who think that landing on Earth (in one piece) in any of the games requires a mod. Having spent several weeks working with others and trying many many options we concluded that it wasn't possible with a clean install. Maars' "go anywhere instantly" thingy which he described as "magic crystals" seemed to confirm it.

But ... others think it can be done and several claim to have done it on clean installs and Vice has not commented one way or the other, so you take your choice and run with it - or not!
