Help with Transporter Quest (Legacy)

Post by Lost_Hiigaran »

Hey guys.

I've been playing Evochron games for a few years now, but I still consider myself a rookie as I constantly run into new discoveries and make mistakes I probably shouldn't with the hours I've put in.

Anyway, I am having trouble with the Transporter quest for Legacy. I have just deployed the 7 power modules required for part of the quest, but now I do not know where to deploy the Fuel Converter. It wont let me deploy it where the quest marker is, though i have wasted metal placing it next to marker :). The message said to place it 49000 sub-sectors below the sun, and I'm not sure what that means exactly, or what i should do.

Any help would be appreciated.

"Below the sun" means along the Y axis ... which you can't see unless you switch the map to Rear View. If the quest icon is then visible, it should be 49,000 sub-sectors below the sun ... which, if the sun is above or below the zero mark on the Y axis, will not be at in-sector (sub-sector) Y coordinate of -49000. You will need to do a bit of math.

P.S. If you still have problems, U2U me and I'll give you the exact coordinates.

Thanks for the quick reply Marvin. That does indeed help, and I will try to work it out later tonight when I get home.

I love how much I've played these games, and still get lost at times.

(edit) So I decided to attempt this real quick so I wouldn't have to worry about it later, and I placed it in the same spot I had been trying to before, but this time it triggered the next part of the quest. So I had the correct coordinates all along (it gives the quest marker), but for whatever reason the game was just not recognizing the construction. A log off and on seemed to correct the issue.

I can't tell if it was a bug or more likely my own error, but in either case I can continue forward. Thank you again for the info, though. It will definitely come in handy.

Me too. It took me more than a few minutes to realize that the image displayed when the device activated, in fact, had two sides. D'oh! :o :P
