Nope. Your reputation level is what increases (dramatically) your contract pay. Ergo, in MP co-op contracts, let the ranking man take the contract ... you all get paid at his level.

Although in case you are confused what the licence does.
It basically increases how much money you can make there by selling items.
And it makes items more costly to buy there.

Ok, so is there a way to become unlicensed? I bought a license in Vega thinking it would make purchases cheaper :/

I don't know about EL, but in EM a station license does the following:
(1) gives you a 20% discount on items you buy from the station inventory (not fuel nor inthe shipyard)
(2) as a result you can go sell the stuff you buy to a higher tech station and make even more money than if you had not had a station license at the time of purchase - so in general you DO NOT want a station license at station where you intend to sell products to make money.
(3) allows you to not have to pay Docking Fees at stations in hostile areas.

Once you are wealthy it can be cheaper to build a station (which will automatically give you a station license) than to buy a station license at existing stations.

Yes, after you have a license, a 'Cancel License' option will appear where there is normally a buy license option.
