Container Recovery Limit reached ?

Post by XenonSurf »

I was finally able to locate some containers by the infos of my scientific officer. Other containers were floating there as well. In one there are Starguard particle cannons, but after engaging my beam device, my primary weapon slot get filled with it as well as 1 of my empty cargo bays.
I have 3 cargo bays still empty, I will discard the hydrogen of one, making it 4 empty cargo bays.
If I beam again on the container, I get the post message. Does it mean the container is just empty now?

Also:
From another container I was able to fill my cargo with some type of missiles, don't remember the name. Arrived at the local station, they refused to buy it, I get a selling denied message. Why?
I then use the ALT key together with these missiles. I get a 'consolidate' message. The missile vanished, but my money account didn't change :( What^s up here?

Thanks,
XenonS

Container Recovery Limit reached ?

This question was answered just recently in another topic.

You can not sell containers items in the local station you must sell them elsewhere.
It is included in the same bracket as selling bought items in the same station you bought them from.

And your missiles probably vanished because of a bug with the consolidated sale system just selling it anyways, removing the items but the block on trade is still there prohibiting you from earning any credits.

Try not to sell found items in the same system / local area.

Container Recovery Limit reached ?

Hi DeathTech, thanks for your answer, and sorry, I didn't browse the topics.

I also have located what seems to be a shipwreck, not sure. If I hit num-1 it locks to a sort of container in the middle. Beaming will get me nothing, but I get this message that 'data' was recorded or something like, I can no longer browse through message logs, because I restarted the game. I go in the data section of the logs, and there is an entry with sector coordinates. I search there long and large, but nothing... I highly suspect this location (near a station) was where I got the info from a NPC, not sure.
Maybe I miss something with this shipwreck, I can go there again though.
Do you think I miss something, maybe a device that I don't yet have? Thanks!

Container Recovery Limit reached ?

One station more away i was able to sell the missiles.

I returned to the container location, sitll the container was not empty, so I don't know what the "container recovery limit reached" means. I think you can take 3-4 items from the container and then you have to return? Strange...

Shipwrecks can contain data, it gets transmitted to you when you gently (or very harshly) bump into them. And you can always respawn the info by bumping into it again.

The message logs may not directly state what was said by the wrecks transponder.
The data may have been a location or perhaps a blueprint, go check your engineering station templates, it may have given you a template to build equipment.

I hope that answers your questions regarding shipwrecks.

Thanks for the info.
No, nothing in the engineering. I will return and try again.
