EL 1.0278: not possible to change options - buggy checkboxes

Hi,

When going in the option menu, when I click on any checkbox to change it, I get some weird grafical anomalies, the Section Tabs below disappear and i cannot change any options.

I can at some point leave the option menu, but without any changes.

I have the latest v. 1.0278. My OS is Windows 7 Home.

Please send me some before and after screenshots of what you are seeing (starwraith.com > contact). Does your system meet the minimum memory requirements for the game, both system RAM and video memory?

HP Pavilion laptop, 4-core, i5 2.5+ GHz, 8GB RAM,
Grafic card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650, 1024 MB RAM

Print Screen and paste into an image editor or you can use a tool like Fraps. Including a zipped msinfo report may also help me troubleshoot the issue: http://www.starwraith.com/evochronlegacy/faq.htm#208

Your screenshots look fine to me. Are you not able to click on the options that appear in the drop down menu? Are you aware that the new format for the Options menu uses drop down menus rather than having to repeatedly click on one line to toggle through all of the options?

In EL, you click on the option you want to change (with the current value displayed on the line you click on), then you select the value you want from the drop down menu (or click on X to close the menu). For drop down menus that have many values available, there will be a scroll bar on the right side of the drop down menu you can use to scroll through the available values.

Thanks for your response, I will try out again and report, BUT... I could see no dropdown text of any sort. And why do the section tabs (below: for keyboard setup etc. ) disappear?

Because the drop down menu overlaps them so you can see the available options, as with any drop down menu in Windows for example.

The only text that will appear in the drop down menu is the text for the options to select ('On' or 'Off' in your screenshot).

sorry for all the inconvenience: problem solved, EL is not the cause: I was not able to really spot the drop-down as is...

All works fine, I could make changes now

Feel free to keep it though - if it puzzled Xenon, it could well fox others
