so ive never played an evochron before, i'll just put that out there. i'm about six hours (post tutorial) into my career at this point, just mining/trading/running missions really, but a few questions have come up that ive tried to read up on and i'm still not entirely clear..
1) economy fluctuations: is this entirely based on me, or something server based? i seem to remember when i started the game there was an option for it to be affected by things other than me, but now i don't remember and i can't find the option again haha. i'm curious because i set up a little operation last night mining the asteroids in the starter alliance zone, and i havent done MUCH mining yet, i think ive made about $1mil? but platinum prices have cratered to 25% and im curious how much of that is because of me, or just luck. its sorta funny to read the description saying platinum is the most valuable thing while its selling for less than water lol. is there any way to fix this, or do i just need to bug out of this sector for a while until it recovers?
2) distant economies: in a situation like i'm in now, where i have a truck full of platinum but its selling at 25%, is there any way to see the market conditions at another station somewhere else for comparison, outside of flying there and checking?
3) station licenses: what exactly do these do, discounts on purchases? better trade values? will it make buying ship frames better?
4) speaking of that, ship frames: so i was trying to save up for a nicer frame, and had some questions about prices. i see the first blacked out frame in the starter zone, i think its a raptor, is about 2.08 mil. but since they dont actually SELL it there, i jetted off to the nearest place that sells it, but its 3.4 mil there! are frame prices affected by economy as well? if so, what factor? and is there some way to bring that price down (license, etc)?
5) not an economy question but: where in the world can i find a deploy constructor? i need one for the initial questline, and i've been to dozens of stations in high tech areas and still havent seen one lol. do i just have incredibly bad luck with randomized stock or am I missing something here?
ok i think thats all the questions i can think of so far
(massively in love with this game, btw)

There are a couple good tutorials on trading ... check posts for the last week or wait until one of the video guys posts a link (personally, I'd watch both of the tutorials for a complete explanation). As for the constructors, the second two quests point you in the right direction ... but, if you really want to know, check your U2Us.

Even though I'm very new to EL I will attempt to answer some of your questions to the best of my knowledge. I apologize ahead of time for the lousy answer but figured would give you something:
1. There is an option at the beginning (2 I believe). I think one for economy and one for territory if I remember correctly. Just start a new profile/game and see what the options are. Should be obvious I THINK.
2. Yes, this is covered in a few good video tutorials. Search Youtube. Essentially in NAV view you can turn on technology and hover over sectors and there will be bars to the left that show you what you need to know. But you'll have to watch one of those video's to understand it.
3. I think some discounts on buying stuff but not sure what else. This is written up somewhere in a guide.
4. I believe ship frames and fuel are effected by market prices. Not sure how you determine that like #2 above. Might be no way to do it but not sure.
5. Someone answered me on this one either in the forums or on Discord but sorry, I forget right now. But the crappy answer is they are out there somewhere perhaps on one of the middle sectors. They are around 500k or so from what I've seen so far. Too costly for me as I haven't built up enough dough yet.

For a deploy constructor, try poking around stations orbiting worlds with Technology economies (they'll have a T in parentheses next to their name).

1) If you turned the fluctuations on at the start prices will change occasionally thoughout the galaxy.
2) Watch my video on the navigation & the one of the commodity values window and you should have no trouble selling your platinum friend. (Link to the videos thread in my signature.)
3) station licenses: Reduce value of all commodities for the station. Both buying & selling. So you earn less when selling and can buy for cheaper. This is generally used when you found a station you only want to buy commodities from at cheap bulk.
Also reduces storage costs for the storage hangar on the station by 50%.
4) Blackend frames are eighter locked due to too low military / civilian rank or some are only available in the few hidden unique stations that sell them. You can raise military rank by killing enemies or doing missions for your aligned faction in a warzone.
Civilian rank is raised by trading and doing contracts.
5) A deploy constructor is a high tech item. If you go watch my navigation tutorial you will be able to find out where to head for high tech items. Again, check my signature for a link to my thread with my tutorials.
