Did we just get a new mission type?

I just went out and performed a search-and-rescue mission for an escape pod. Is this new? If so, thanks! I enjoy search-and-rescue stuff.

Been there since game release, they don't show up often.
I'd like to see it more often, especially in war zones.

AFAIK, escape pods are only found in war zones.

I think they've been around since Legends, certainly EM
