Is it possible to have more missile slots beyond 8? I cannot stress the importance of missiles either in pvp , pve, or station assault in gameplay. I feel 8 seems limited since playing all the previous games and would be fun having lots of missiles or configure a ship combat, civilian/hybrid, with plenty of missiles. We have the Anti missile system equipment in game so why not have more missile slots? Specialized missiles like Rage or Lynx were mostly used in PvP, the direct damage missiles are fine, but most folks I knew rarely used the weapons lab for missile crafting and perhaps the same with legacy. So if anything just having increased missiles slots would be a great addition, besides it allows pilots to learn to practice missile evasion with cm's or the luxury of an AMS.

Excal reloads slow now, just practice the cm spam and shotgun them with exodus ;):D.

Lol against NPC perhaps, but not in PvP. Missiles cannot be loaded in the cargo bay slots and transferred to the missiles slots right?

I use my guns both against NPC and in PVP. No, you can't "reload" from cargo bays.

Excaliburs can't one-shot a military frame, even if all eight warheads hit you. They only become very dangerous when your shields are weakened or down from beam fire, at which point you shouldn't be taking risks by engaging ramming speed.

When I first ran into someone using Excals in Legacy, I didn't take the threat they pose seriously enough - I ended up getting wrecked as a result. After I learned my lesson, I smartened up and was able to handle them more easily. Excals are still useful in many situations and balanced, especially compared to how they were in EM.

More on the topic, I don't bother from the weapons lab missiles since they're a pain to produce en masse and don't generally create ordinance better than the default ones. You get your pick of the following two: a good punch, good CM resistance or good speed. Despite that, the product is still sub-par compared to your other choices, in general.

I'm voting that it's like the t.v. show - "8 is enough".

And excals. still take 3 minutes to regenerate - just like in Mercenary.
+ The only things that excals. have in their advantage is their much higher velocity than the other missiles.
It takes quite a lot of acceleration speed to get moving away from them when fired at close range.
