Secret jump drive?

I've heard many rumors about a secret jump drive far surpassing the class five. Has anyone encountered this? I don't want anything spoiled, just pointed in the right direction.

Yes. And by god does it make things faster.
Worth it's weight in credits.
It does 10 sectors.
It''s pretty much mandatory for going "off the map"

Yep, found one a couple of nights ago. Nice surprise as well. I just docked at the nearest place so I could save and quit out for the night, and there it was!

Can try out in the areas where tech is 100. That's a for sure bet. In those places I was getting mantis drives like candy.
Be warned they aren't charted systems, and on some servers.....well let's just say people have a healthy head start going into the unknown.

I found it first time docking.
Its a definite must for exploration and can be very pricey.

If you feel lucky you can try your hand at the engineering lab and try to guestimate the recipe for it.

It's called a Mantis drive and normally runs 737,000cr, there or thereabouts. Way, way expensive. But it does give you a 10 sector jump.
