Contracts success sometimes do not trigger

Don't know if this is new but yesterday I was slowly trying to grow by taking contracts. I'm relatively new to the game, had it for about a week and didn't play every day so what I think is broken might be normal things.

So, anyway, I was unable to complete 2 contracts:
I had a mission to deliver some metal to a ship under attack. I got there and without having the chance to kill an enemy, the ship was able to kill the 2 attackers, then I tried to deliver the good and it never accepted to trade.

And another mission which I forget what it was, but did not trigger. Was even simpler contract, like go to visually identify cargo. Never triggered.

This happened on a self hosted server where I was playing alone, my friend could not come to play.

There are two "deliver cargo" contracts ... one where the cap ship is under attack and one where it isn't. If the ship was under attack, you do not need to kill any of the attackers. What might happen is the attackers will destroy the cap ship before you have time to deliver the cargo. At that point, you need to cancel the contract ... you failed. Otherwise, fly into the box underneath the cap ship and either selectively deliver the cargo from your bay or jettison all your cargo via the "J" key.

For the "find and ID the cargo pod" contract, the safest way to complete it is to throttle back to zero and jump to the waypoint. If the purple blip doesn't show up on radar, maintain your heading and throttle up. Eventually you will see the blip ... turn to intercept. Once you reach the pod, the contract is completed and you'll get a message (and payment) in chat.
