I've tried several times now to download update 2908 and it gets to 50 to 60% downloaded and it comes up with "The evochron_mercenary2908.exe download was interrupted", then when I click on resume it say's completed right away. Then I go into the download folder and look at the download it's only 1KB in size. Any solution to the problem greatly help.
Downloading from the Starwraith site. Don't deal with steam on less I have to. I had the same problem for a while with updates from Eagle Dynamics then it seemed to fix itself.
Thank you I'll see what I can do.

Are you downloading from the Starwraith download page or via Steam?

Your ISP may have an unreliable node somewhere along the way, connection quality could be limited, or a other number of potential internet/server reliability issues. You may just want to try again off-peak at a different time in the day. Using some kind of download manager that lets you continue a download where it leaves off might be another option.
Edit: If it helps, the game is also available at the second mirror link in the downloads section on gamershell.com

What is your internet connection? Cable? DSL? Uverse? Mobile? From post: 179155, Topic: tid=11938, author=RGHawk2000 wrote:Thank you Vice but sorry it didnt work. Cable can be veru susceptible to noise issues on the cable plant (which is cable system from your home to the cable company).
Noise issues can be severe (and you notice - modem reboots - web pages stall, downloads fail) or can be very intermittant (web page load often but may occassional stall, modem may reboot or drop & reconnect, you may have a download to fail)
If you know how to view your modem logs you can get a good idea if that's the case. It can be a major get a cable company to send top-notch techs to trace noise problems - I went through it off and on for 9 years.
to check if issues (noise or a bad hop someplace) ping a few reliable web sites with 100 to 200 pings off and on. Like google.com for one. YOu should not get any timeouts or lost packets in the test and final results.
If you know how. requires Command Prompt.
ping -n 100 google.com
where -n is followed by the number of pings you wawnt to send.
Tracerout may or may not tell you much because so many hos these days are being set to 'not respond to pings (icmp)'.
Hops that timeout in all 3 fields maybe be set to not respond.
I think (but am not sure) that hops where 1 or 2 fields amy or may not time out 'might' be possible problem hops - but unless that hop is part of your ISP's domain there not a lot you can do about it unless you can get your ISP tech support to contact that hop's admin to check it out.
I have had occasions where Starwraith.com forums were 'waiting for .....' but I didn't bother trying to trace it. I just come back later and it usually doesn't last long.
I've never had a download from here fail and I'm on lousy mobile wireless - may or may not be slow as heck but doesn't fail unless I happen to drop connection.
I just did a trace route to starwraith.com and got no timeouts at all.
