Whither goes thou?

Post by sythsillis »

Okay, I have reached Lt JG after several combat missions and now I am wondering if I should continue to advance my rank or should I complete the I.M.G. missions in the Sierra system? I have a Mammoth with my own crafted weapons and it has served me well so far with 10 capital ships killed. Could some of the veterans share their experience? It would be a great help to me so that I could make up my diseased mind. I'm asking because you guys have been a great help so far.

Well, if you've got a ship that's got a comfortable Cap-killer setup, finishing the Sierra section of the quest will bring you very close to the finish. After that you can do what you like, or maybe even continue on from the end of the stock quest with some player-made 'expansion' quests available from SeeJay's site.

 If any of those capital ships are Vonari, you probably don't need much in the way of advice. Keep up the good work and bear in mind that you can now swap your Mammoth for a military ship without sacrificing your crew. Granted, they won't be any help in your military ship but, if you swap back to a civilian craft, they will come aboard without fanfare. If your new civilian ship has fewer crew slots, the first crewmen on the list will take up their positions and the others will stand by for whenever you add the extra slot(s).
