Terrain walker - question

Just use the normal cannon trigger button for your cannon

You can do contracts on the surface (find them at cities or orbiting stations) and there are containers that fall out of orbit that you can collect. You can also mine stuff with your TW

On a non-trading point, you can fight with hostile ships as well - your tw cannon are souped up compared to standard cannon. On MP you can also pvp in tw - god fun playing hide and seek in a city; hint height is useful so leapfrog onto buildings!

Oh damn, you can PVP with those eh? Well, I'll quietly pray for tanks and armored fighting vehicles in the future. Fighting a pitched battle over a valuable resource area in MP would be fun, especially given the novelty of it being a 'sandbox space rpg'. It'd be awesome in all honesty, lmao.

 So far, few tactics have been employed with fighting PvP or team vs team in a city, with TWs. But it can be done.

One note: TWs don't have an MDTS, which means you have to aim the widely-spaced particle cannons manually. I learned about this the hard way when I tried to fend off a hostile NPC ship - I had to climb a nearby building to take him out as I'd run out of weapon & jump energy shooting at him (and missing at first) every time he came close.

 Yup. AI pilots know better than to get too close to the ground when engaging a TW. Which is why TW combatants prefer to do battle against ships either in cities or in high mountainous areas. Some place with extra altitude.

The cannons fire in parallel. It's a bit odd, but you can use half your shots (left or right side) to fire while maintaining some cover behind a building. I wouldn't mind seeing - instead of an MDTS system - a switch function that allows you to select between cannons firing in parallel or firing to a convergence point. Even if the convergence was fixed at, say... 600 meters, you'd still be able to increase the amount of rounds on target by a pretty large margin in close-quarters fighting. The parallel mode could then be used by a team mate to provide covering fire over a slightly larger area. Pin 'em down and flank 'em would be really fun to employ with team mates in a good ol' wild west style city shootout.

Purple blibs on radar are always a good place to start.

Rough terrain is good as well - you can lurk in the valleys to give you some shelter
