You are much better off going to Riftspace and taking the wormhole to Sol.
The Distance to Riftspace Gate using autopilot take a good while.
Trying to go to Sol from A.C. I think you would find intolerable - literally.
A suggestion - take a Build Construct and when you get to the Riftspace Gate then build you a Trade Station so you can refuel then and in the future.

 For those long trips, try the Travel Buddy. It gives you ETE and fuel requirements for whichever jump drive you have installed.

Ok, it takes 4 hrs and almost 2500 fuel. (Had to refuel once to be sure I will not stuck somewhere in the middle - but I did not have to)...

BTW-LANDING ON EARTH - is it possible? I have seen some videos and tried myself but no luck....

:o One or two players have managed to land on Earth. For the rest of us (who have spent hours trying), it's The Impossible Dream.

Bit late now but Sirius is a close jumping off point! You still need to refuel though :P

Now how to get to rift, I can not see any rift portal / gate on the map. I know that you can either go to rift or pearl ( I would like rift space). Anyone? I checked seejay's map and there is nothing marked....

Use the Search Function: "Gate to RiftSpace" ;)

 Many mercenaries have traveled to Vonari, either via gates and wormholes or direct (lots of uncharted star systems between Talison Conflict and Vonarion). You can also follow a quest or two to learn how to get to Vonari space, RiftSpace, and beyond.

I'm one who likes to have information at hand to look up when I want it.
You can use Evometrics (if your computer and internet isn't a weakling like mine is) to search got Gates & Wormholes - or - I forget exactly where - but I think someplace on Seejay's web site there is an Excel spreadsheet that has the evoverse (from Evometrics I'm pretty sure) that you can load in Excel or compatible spread sheet which I did and did some sorting on various fields and then (with a little work) did selections and printed out copies to make a manila folder that I could use to look up location sorted alphabetically by system or by Type (planet, stars, asteroids, gates, wormholes, etc).
The section with gates and wormholes has really been handy.
It's really whether you want to take the time and are ABLE to invest the time to explore and do it all the hard way or whether you are like me and limited in you ability to sit for hours and want to take some shortcuts now and then to figure how how to get someplace.
Even if you know where the Riftspace gate is it is still a fairly long trip to get there - and it's an important place if you want to "go places". It's not a trip to make lightly or you could find yourself without any fuel and no where to get any if you don't plan ahead a little.
One can dump assembly devices and buy a hude fuel tank but that's not for me - I want my ship config to be my ship config and seldom make changes to it except for swapping certain items like Fuel Converter, Cargo Scanner, Antimissile System, Terrain Walker, Build & Deploy Constructors in and out as needed - but my engine and fuel tank and wings and crew and cargo bays I almost never change. Others do it differently.

yep

I have to say that it's not a common tourist destination - not ever so friendly, though not as bad as the vonari bad-asses in the war zones :P

There are almost 30 'things' to explore - asteroids, planets, moons of course but a WH and BH and a human station or two :)

Minor detail but Vonari are the people - Vonarion is where they live!

There are also a few uncharted systems on the way - and a deep space research station just outside Vonari territory :D One of it's residents tried to find the edge of the Evoverse but had to give in after going 300 000 sectors form Sapphire :)

There are so many things to explore that aren't shown on your nav map!

:)

Oh, the edge of the Evoverse, that would be something to see. I do hope thats achievable somewhere, and that Vice did something funny with the edge of his Universe. I seem to recall the Federation running into a stupid huge net that the enterprise couldn't pass at some point, but I don't really remember the episode that well. Its Next Generation and I think the Q were involved if anyone wants to look that up.

If its a red energy net with some vaguely pod looking things where the net is interconnected, then yeah, you're talking about the right thing. While poking around doing a search of the net, I found two other examples in the origional Star Trek series. So, there are a few examples of that idea. :)

 Of course they are. The galactic barrier turns you into Superman (if your ESPer rating is high) and The Web sends you into Null space.

I've always lofted for Sol from the Orion Delta station - enroute to that rift-space gate dang-if-I-can-remember-the-number. L-something or other. And yeah, it's a long trip out - 25 to 35 hops, at least, IIRC. Got it in my map log, so no worries there. :) Well...until things change, then I'll have to do it all over again. Isn't exploration fun ? :s

Esper rating = Rhine score, Marv ? ;)

 J. B. Rhine? It's possible. I'd need to watch the episode again to see if the ESPer rating references his work.
