Trade station and supporting buildings

Does it matter what distance I will build supporting building like constructor, ore processing etc from Trade Station? Can they be just anywhere and have an influence?

Good question. I always place mine in the same sector ... usually within visual range of the trade station. No real reason except it looks cooler that way.

I've found they work in touching sectors as well
