EM what a Blast - I'm loving it!

I'm very pleased I bought this game, week last - I've found a way to play something like ELITE, but a bit better than Oolite and far cheaper than EVE-Online.

I played EM demo a long time ago, was impressed. It has a feel of nostalgia about it, but is not old. Being able to hit ESC to pause is bliss!

My Hunter has worked just fine for my first few days of flight time, been able to amass $600M+ already!

But I'm itching to kill something in EM!

I've seen fits for good Hunter framed PVAI boats, where I assume its used for less safe quadrants of the universe - scanning, then ganking weaker ships?

Well I may fit a spare Hunter for PVAI to try that out in Pearl or Thuban.

But also seen fits for uber PVAI ships, in forums - so my questions -
Where can I more likely find & purchase:
1. A Leviathan?
2. A Mantis Drive?
3. A Banshee Particle Weapon?
4. A Fusion Beam laser?
5. A Chimera?

If I go for Manufacturing, I'd like a Mammoth, where can I more likely find & purchase one of those?

Hi there and welcome to the game and forum communities.

That right you got some nasty unfriendly place into the quadrant wich you will have you get i reckon a better frame /weapon.

I don't want reveal exactly the answer of your question to avoid spoiler so i will give you some hint

1,2 these shups or high class equipment can be purchase on higher economy system. (blue, green should be alright)

3,4 same as bellow higher economy system = powerfull weapon.
Hint : have you try make your own weapon?

5 chimera is a military ship who can be purchase into carrier only available in the 4 war zone into the game. Diference with the civil ship, you will have also to rank up for being able to purchase it.

2. The Fusion $1.15m
Weapons @ Pearl quadrants Hidden planet.

No Mantis drive, ah well - Only used about 200 fuel to get there from Rucker gate in oasis!

Also there - All stnd civilian ships available to buy!
Decided against the leviathan for now, Starmaster bought at $8.2m - A snip

When there, sold a Terrain Walker for $13.5m, I'd bought it at Pearl (Oasis Stn) at $4.35m ish

Feeling pleased.

All equipment is not always available at any place all the time, you may need to leave the sector and return several times.

I wish you luck with those guns - they are energy hogs. I wouldn't give you a dime for hardly any of the stock weapons - But that's just my opinion.

With some ingenuity in the "building" field I find you have a good chance of "making" a Mantis drive and other things appear in a station in many half-decent star systems if you kinda know the trick - but it will probably only appear once and you'ld best buy it then cause they probably won't be there the next time you stop in. It has to be a reasonably medium to high tech star system. For instance, Rucker (Not Lost Rucker either), Atlas, I think Cerulean and maybe Orion and Talison and Talison Conflict - but none of them on a regular basis as I said. It's a bit tricky - but lately in my building I've seen the Mantis several times in places other than Pearl - oh, and I'm referring to SP - not MP.

Returned to the Pearl hidden planet, Mantis Drive was there $3.2m - Grabbed it like a kid in a candy shop! MINE

If you EXIT the game completely, some of the nice profit items are available again, upon Launching again - in the stations market again.
So it is worth considering having gaps in your cargo hold, just in case - If you have to leave the game and return

Items are changing over time in stations/cities, so all you need to do is wait or jump
to another sector, then back.
