Target Subsystems

Post by PaulB »

I need a bit of help with Targeting Subsystems.

How do you NOT target a subsystem once you have done so???

I would have thought U (remapped in my case to B) would cycle thru all subsystems and back to the whole ship but for me it only cycles thru the subsystems and I can't get back to targetng the whole ship.
There was only the Vonari C in the vicinity so couldn't try changing targets.
Trying MDTS off/on didn't help.

Yup, give that a shot. Toggle the kybd 'T' key to schmooze thru the available/listed ships, lest you have this one remapped as well. That should give you back the 'normal' hit box for a targeted ship. :)

But I said there were no other ships around so I can't switch targets in that case. And in that instance shouldn't toggling MDTS do the same thing?

Try going to aft view (default End key) or pressing H to cycle your HUD.

To de-select a target press the default "G" key. That switches off the target MFD on the bottom right. Press it again and you can re-select your target, clearing the sub-system targeting.

The G key didn't work for me but the default T key did work ... tested with only one ship (beside mine) in the sector.

Yes, Vice told me, retargeting works, R, T, O, P, or Mouse select.
