How to land on Saturn?

Post by zzone »

I have tried to land on Saturn, but do not know if it is possible, because whenever my ship explodes. Has anyone got and can give me a hint?

landing on Venus was fun and interesting, but is it impossible to land on Saturn, Jupiter and Uranus, because I tried and failed

Probably not. A gaseous planet must have a solid core near enough to the surface for you to land without being crushed by the planet's excessive gravity.

Venus looks like a gas giant, but it's a rocky planet with a thick atmosphere. The gas giants are unlandable, as the pressure will destroy your ship before you reach any kind of solid center.

However, don't let that stop you from flying around in there, being buffeted by the winds. Oh, and you won't burn up if you jump to safety from a gas giant for some reason.

That's very useful info! :D

I wonder if you can jump towards the centre and get a bit deeper before exploding

It would be awesome if they would drop a probe into the atmosphere of Jupiter, sending HD-quality video of the descent all the way down until it fails. I'd love to see what that looks like.

Same with the rings of Saturn. They look so flat. I wonder what the particles look like. In this case, I imagine it to look a lot like going through the rings in EM.

I entered the atmosphere of Saturn and Uranus, and even managed to go down well, but after some time when you think that will give the ship explodes. So I think that so far no one managed to land on these planets.
