Evochron Mercenary - New pilot [RiSKOSD]

Post by RiSKOSD »

Hi, my names Rob IGN: RiSKOSD, I'm 37, based in the UK and fallen in love with this game! Purchased recently through Steam and wish I played past the demo years ago.

Always enjoyed and spent the most time in flight sims and have very fond memories of the usual games like Wing Commander, Freespace series and of course EVE Online and Elite which I played on my Amstrad CPC.

Anyway, this game is an absolute gem and after loading it with some beautiful mods and wondering around doing the solo thing I'd dearly love to share and join the online experience also.

So far I have joined various Evochron related Steam groups, signed up over on the Olympus Prime forum and been playing on the Olympus Prime server. Sadly not noticed any players logged in apart from the occasional pilot that logs but quits a few minutes later. Is there a more popular server, should I be signing up any where else to increase my chances of playing with people online?

Hi Rob. welcome to the community and to the game :)

Finding people is often a problem because the community is world wide. I'm in the UK and tend to play morning GMT. The US players tend to be on mid evening GMT (after they've got home and had tea! :D ) 21:00 onwards GMT is worth trying. Where are in RL?

CA-V is a good server to try. I also use Galactica, though it's often unavailable. There are also some arranged pVp - have a look in the forum.

:)

 The CAV server is US based and usually reliable ... right-click on the name listing to see who is currently logged on. On Sundays, around 9:00pm European time, Galactica 1 is usually busy ... except this month due to it being inhabited by many players who, in real life, take most of the month of August for vacation time (I suppose very few beaches have wireless).

Thanks all and thank you for sharing the right clicking on the server for player list. Played for the entire evening again tonight, so addictive!

Welcome to a huge game.

I am a returning pilot, and it is even better than it was before.

I must of installed the demo 3 or 4 times but the initial learning curve (mostly due to skipping the training and didn't RTFM) meant I passed it by for something else. How wrong I was :( this is by far the best space sim I've ever played and the mod support and what's already been released is just incredible!
