How do I load a game from old save slot?

I have save games in multiple slots. How to I go back to previous slot - not the latest one? The problem is that I forgot to save before accepting a story-line quest. I thought I would simply cancel the quest, save the game and then re-accept the quest. I have found that I cant re-accept. Now I cant go back to a previous save game. How do I select another save slot for loading?

There are two ways to select another pilot profile from within the game: (1) the Load Pilot option displayed at game start-up or (2) the Pilot Manager option available at the menu screen.

I keep three copies of my main profile - one is used for a while and then when I'm sure everything is OK it's saved into the other two profiles.

I also have a profile saved in interesting but hard to get to places so I can play around there whenever I want - these are rarely updated.

Finally I have some janitor profiles - they have a full set of station dets for cleaning up no longer needed stations - since sd's cause an autosave each time they're used, I have a couple of full profiles at all times. To avoid cheating, if I need sd's for clan wars I go and buy them as needed in my main (sd free) profile.

To load any profile just go to it at the start of the game or via the profile manager option. To save a profile into multiple slots get into the game, escape out and choose and save it to the slots you want to use. Then quit or re-enter the game

I mus admit I'd been playing for quite a while before I realised I had 100 profile slots to choose from!
