Wingmen Status

Post by PaulB »

Does anyone know of a quick way to check on the status of Wingmen (if you've hired any) whe you lose track of them during or after combat???
Like if one or more of them are just out of range due to the battle or if anu of them have been killed???

I had one instance when they were just out of range cause I had chased a hostile and Form Up after the contract was completed brought them to me - but in another instance all 3 of them had been killed.

I would have thought there would be somethig similar to Manage Crew in Inventory Console for Wingmen so you could see how many and they ship types and thus uf they are still alive or not but I can't find anything anywhere.

 Sounds like you're looking for something similar to what's in AA. Not a bad idea.

Yeah, and this is a GREAT point in Arvoch Alliance, if one wingman are with low hull or wathever, you can order refuel/repair and continue the battle with the others...

Maybe i can add also like RiftSpace:

You can enable a contract for the wingmen and other for you, and you can manage the wingman ship's / equip.

Sounds bad?

Now that I've done some reading, why aren't these two games combined? AA and EM

Are 2 different games, just this, but maybe one thing works fine in AA but dont have Sense en EM, and vice versa.

EDIT: But i always thought add the system Arvoch fleet management is a good idea in EM for the military frames and singleplayer/multi ships.

In Multiplayer: The biggest rank pilot have the "control" of the wingmen, and the orders, and can see the status of the squadron (Same clan people, pilots in the contract, etc.)

If 2 players have the biggest rank, the player with more game-time have the "control".

Regards!

AA was introduced to enhance combat without 'damaging' EM's non-combat aspects.

I've avoided wingmen on the whole because they seem to be a bit too unpredictable for their usefulness in my player style. Caleb's two ideas sound like they would make wingmen both more useful and much more fun - the closest we've come to having your own little fleet and a possible cash sink to boot! :D

Yeah in AA is really nice, send orders to the squadron, to the different teams or to a individual ship.

One squadron for cover you, other attacking hostiles, other refueling and other holding the waypoint, for example :-D
