Am I Crazy???

Been away from the game for a while but I fired it up again tonight and I picked things back up rather quickly.

But.... Wasn't there a Construction Station in Rucker someplace? Or did I make that up? I could have sworn I was making some money by mining metal, rolling it over into some product or other and then selling it some place for $$$. Constructor stations don't seem to show up on the Nav map in an obvious way - is there a quick way to ID one or some guide to knowing one is likely to be nearby?

Also, can I equip and use both a metal-only mining beam AND a plat-only mining beam at the same time?

Hi and welcome back.

I don't know about being crazy:P, but there is no Construction Station in Rucker.
However, a player can build one so that might have been the case before.

You can only have one mining beam installed.

Also, constructor stations do show up on the navigation map ... they look a bit like a crescent moon ... or the pendulum's blade from The Pit and the Pendulum.

OK, that's what I thought I remembered!

Now, how would I go about building a constructor station? I assume I would need the build station equipment thingy? What would I do then?

The Build Constructor option in the upper HUD ... click on it to get a drop-down menu. Unless you're planning to name a trade station, just click on the appropriate label.
