Basic training

Post by Maskull »

Hello to all!
New recruit here just learning the ropes, and I have a question for you already.
I'm using the videos, #1 on basic piloting and having a problem with it.
I realize there is text along with the verbal instructions but it all goes along too fast, and I get left behind totally befuddled!
Is there available an instruction manual that I can follow along at a slower pace? It's a wonderful program best I've seen so I thought I'd give it a try, but right now it looks like I just not going to make the cut.
Thank you

Yes, you can open the instructions included with the game from the main menu > Training > Close game and view instructions. Or you can alternately open the instructions by opening the 'ReadMe.htm' file in the game's install folder.

If it's the 'videos' on YouTube you are watching, you can always back those up to any point you want for review.

If you are referring to the training sequences, you can scroll back up through the message log to review any past text entries at any time. You can also repeat any section of the training stages by press Alt-Enter which will back up to the last stage you were at so you can repeat it. You can do this as much as you like to review/repeat any stages you want.

Welcome to the game and the forum: Yep: the official instruction manual is in the main folder : EM Manual

There's also a Guide (300+ pages) available from SeeJay's site: Hints & Tips Guide

Get online to play (MP) and you can get as much (or as little) help as you want

:)

EDIT: - when I started my reply no one had responded!! - have a look at the timings of these responses and you'll get an idea of what EM's community is like (in case you don't know - Vice is the creator and sole developer of the game :P)

:)
