Solved issue from previous post "pending"

Post by Rangoon »

Hi - I have read on the forums here that up to 10 controllers are recognized. I am using CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, Pro Pedals, and Throttle Quadrant (which is integrated as the "Franken Potato" mod on my Pro Throttle).

I have the following working:
Stick X and Y for yaw/pitch
Throttle
Pedals for roll
the mini stick on the throttle for strafe vertical/hortizontal

Two of my axes register in more than one axis in the control mapping utility (two sliders are activated with one control axis), but I have read that this is not unusual. I unplugged an Xbox 360 controller, which was the only other controller I had connected.

I am unable to get the two other axes from my throttle quadrant mod working in the game. I have all the first six running into Windows as Control Manager Device 1 (six axes). I am trying to get the other two working as Control Manager Device 2 (R and Z axes), but they do not register. In my Control Manager utility, all axes register fine. Windows sees both devices (one with 6 axes and another with 2). But EM doesn't recognize the second controller.

I'd like to get this working so I have analog control on Energy, for example. Any ideas?

hi - hopefully you will review this before approving the first one. I found this in the controls thread:

"To manage multiple device options, the games provide a device ID selection system at the top of the control configuration menus. To change the current device for control input and mapping, click on the left or right arrow at the top of the menu."

Worked like a charm. Please either delete my previous post, or delete this one and I will edit the first to show the solution (to my ignorance).

 Just leave them both. Your first post does a good job of describing the problem ... and your second post offers a solution. ;)

P.S. Vice will probably move this thread to the Tech section.
