Is it possible to use both joystick and mouse at the same time?

I would like to use the mouse for traditional pitch / yaw / weapons on my right hand, and use my CH throttle for throttle, afterburner, IDS etc (it has a mini joystick that I use for strafing).

Is there anyway I can achieve this? It seems the options are either only joystick or only mouse .. any suggestions?

I think it is - if you go into the options window you can set keyboard +/or stick buttons +/or mouse buttons to any of the actions - there are three pages to choose from. You can set more than one device to any given action

I've set a mouse button without realising it which caused puzzlement when I suddenly started rolling when trying to create a trade station!

I've been using (flying with) a Thrustmaster T-Flightstick X right along with my mouse and keyboard controls, without any problems, for quite some time now. The game recognizes a rather wide range of control/equipment options, which may be scaled through the 'configure controls' selection in the 'options' menu. As Dave stated above, there are three pages of key bindings that can be adjusted for game/controller hardware use/compatibility. Should you encounter problems, other forum members may have some suggestions (possibly germane to your equipment) that'll assist in your endeavor. Don't hesitate to ask the question.
