OK I am not talking about a misterious discovery.
Talking even for initial sector.
There is a planet. You can reach the surface.
Then what?
If there is a city or any place to land, how do I know?
It cannot be that I just roam the whole surface right?

The cities are shown on your map with [+] for a capital city and + for a city.

You can mine on planets and if they have a city, you can take Terrain Walker contracts there as well. If you have a TW that is;)

Try combat in a TW!:P

There are also some interesting sites (and sights) to see on some planets . . .
  • pretty holiday snap: planetary ring, sun or moon, station in alignment with a nebula in the photo if you are lucky!
  • rare: asteroids floating in the atmosphere - not easy to land/stand on in a TW for more than a second or two
  • rare: floating trees complete with roots (ie they haven't just been chopped down and floated away!)
  • Various bits of interesting 'stuff' floats down from space (surviving freefall re-entry better than you can!)
  • ultimate challenge: land on Earth in one piece and receive bragging rights in every bar in the Evoverse (as well as the forum) forever! :D
:)

You can't build a city there, but if you have discovered an entirely new system, you can build a station there and then it becomes a place that you can travel to, get contracts, and refuel.

It would be cool if you could claim a planet, name it, and build a city there as a colony (or a new home), but that is not in this game. Perhaps in the future.

Then we'd all retire, sitting on our front porches in rocking chairs with our laser rifles across our knees, hunting, fishing, and storytelling, sometimes taking potshots at interlopers.

 Since the planets rotate, you can also watch the sunrise and sunset.
