Hi everyone, a brand-new Noob here. I'm on the verge of buying this game and I've definitely been sold on its overall quality after playing the trial. My only question is on how exactly Multiplayer works. Here's a few of my questions:
1) How active are the servers still? Are there quite a few people still playing?
2) How much experience in the game should I have before going online?
3) How well does the game handle slow internet connections? My connection is decent with some games, but absolutely unplayable with others. Does anyone with experience know if it would still be okay, or would it just drag down everyone else's connection if I joined?
Thanks for any help, and I hope to jump into the game soon!

Question about Multiplayer Servers
Hi leafygoodnis - welcome to the game!
Because of the international scope of the community and the fact that there are several servers available it depends a lot on 1: the time you play and the server you choose.
Right click (I think) on a server and instead of joining you will get a list of who's logged in.
Mid/late evening UCT is popular because Europe hasn't gone to bed and the USA are home from work and have had their evening meal
2: get on line asap - the community is very helpful and friendly (about the best around) and you can get as much help as you want (or just mess around trying things out if you prefer) - you won't be attacked unless you want pVp
3: Post your specs and someone more experienced than me (or even Vice) should be able to advise you.

whats your internet speed ?From post: 166662, Topic: tid=11185, author=leafygoodnis wrote:3) How well does the game handle slow internet connections?
what part of the world are u in ?
poor connection generally wont hurt MP game play
but for pvp type encounters, (where every data packet is vital)
quality (low or no packet loss) is more important than speed
