Is there a way to change the mouse steering release hotkey?

Hi,
I have to press the "alt" key to allow me to use my mouse as a mouse in the game, basically disengages the steering of the ship... Couple questions about that...

1. Is there a way to change the hotkey from Alt to something of my choice, I looked in the configuration options but didn't see any of them that were assigned to the ALT key so I don't know which one might allow me to do this.

I basically want to change it to a more accessible key (for me) like Left Ctrl or even the space bar key.

2. Is there a way to make it a toggle key instead of having to hold down the ALT (or preferably what ever key I change it to, if #1 above allows it).

Anybody know if that's possible?

The Alt key itself is static and a locked function. But yes, you can toggle the flight and point modes by simply pressing both Alt keys simultaneously to engage, then press them again to disengage.
