Veterans Day Observation

Happy Veterans Day!
Today's holiday in the US is also known as Remembrance Day and Armistice Day amongst our allied nations and friends. Those who participated in the Great War, as its called (WW I). Both my maternal and paternal grandfathers served in the US Army during that time. As did most of my uncles, on both sides, during WW II. My father served during the Korean conflict. And I had a small part in the Southeast Asia War Games. All of us had miraculous fortune, having all survived our experiences. It is for those who have served, or are presently serving - of what ever nation, stripe, branch, or color of uniform - especially for those men and women who gave the ultimate service and may not rise to the occasion. ['All gave some; some gave all".] I raise my right hand to brow, and render a hand salute.

Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for your service.

Present - Arms! /o Order - Arms!

Happy Veterans Day USA and other countries... :)

Remember the Spanish Republicans who fled fascism in Spain. And they liberated Paris, the 2th Leclerc Division (La nueve)

And to those who had no choice but to go and fight in Russia in the Blue Division against the Russians.

To all my compatriots who fled civil war and world war to places as far away as Venezuela, Cuba, Russia or Louisiana.
