Greetings Vice, I remember the issues we had with Asus GPU Tweak a while ago and how that software broken my game in the past (we were on March of this year).
Since I need to somehow control the fan speed of the video card to keep it cooler (the entire room get hotter while playing for a couple of hours... and the case too), I was looking for other softwares that will allow me to do so but I don't want to mess with EM.
I found that some settings can be made directly from the Nvidia control panel (the performance group) that right now I don't have and that I think I can install with the Nvidia Tools package.
The other well regarded software (Guru3d has it in cooperation with MSI) is MSI Afterburner.
Before installing and traying out them, do you know if those are hampering EM in any way?
Thanks for the time and attention.

Nvidia Tools and MSI Afterburner
The only one I've used myself is MSI Afterburner and it has worked fine for me with every game I've tried it with so far.

Thanks for the quick replay Vice, I'd surely give it a try.
Anyone has experience with Nvidia System Tools?
(since they're an addon for the driver itself they would have been my first shot at compatibility)

If you're more adventurous, you might try getting an after market cooling fan. I had one on my previous Nvidia card and it worked great. I had to get my hands a little dirty, though, installing it.
Maybe something like this: http://www.quietpc.com/vf3000
I like the more open design. On my previous card, the dust clogged up inside the exhaust vent. I couldn't even see it, but it was there, causing the card to melt. When I got the aftermarket cooler on there, I never had a problem with heat again. You can open the box and dust off the vanes, and it's good as new.

Both downloads try to give me the BETA download. I may try it anyway just for the monitoring function. From post: 165173, Topic: tid=11057, author=Vice wrote:Yes, I think this is where to get it: http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htmIs this a free program?

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm not so adventourous to try and install something on the GPU. A good cleanup of the machine from dust once in a while still suffice to me and I don't need it more than a couple of times a year. From post: 165172, Topic: tid=11057, author=Nigel_Strange wrote:If you're more adventurous, you might try getting an after market cooling fan. My main issue is that the standard setting of the card is more for quiet than for temp control.... I don't mind the noise when gaming so I just want to put those a notch up so I don't end up with a small heater right next to my left leg. LOL
