Raise Military Rank as Civilian

Greetings.

I've been searching the forums off and on for a couple of days and haven't found this question being asked or answered.

When creating my pilot, I chose a miner template. Now that I've upgraded quite a bit and can take down almost any ship that I've battled, I'd like to try going military and starting to raise rank, however I haven't found a way to "join" the military or start doing missions. Is this possible? How does one go about it, if it is?

Hi and welcome to the Evoverse Vhaerun! To answer your question, you need not "join" the military to gain rank. Just head to a warzone and start doing contracts. You can find a gate to a warzone in Sierra, Talison, Cerulean and Pearl. Be warned though, the Vonari are a bit tougher than your average AI Mercenary

Ah, yep, I saw those when I tried starting a combat pilot. Wasn't sure if that's where I needed to go or if there was a place in the systems to start at.

try talison warzone first, it's a bit easier than the rest
