Pretty Much Noob-ish

Okay, I browsed through the first 10-odd pages of the forum and couldn't really find anything answering my question.

Forgive me if this is common knowledge or found in guides, but I tried to make my way to a war zone, Pearl specifically, but when I entered Thuban *everything* was hostile to me.

So where exactly do I head to for a war zone or how do I gain faction in a hostile system?

Hello IronDragon! Welcome to the game-sim and community! Well...where to start... By default, Thuban is hostile to everyone, MP non-respective. Be aware, there are other systems that may register as hostile to you (and everyone else) as well. Get through Thuban as best you can, high speeds are recommended. Locate either jump gates to Virgo or Pices. The jump gate to Pices from Thuban, will drop you in Pices proper along the eastern edge of the main map page. The jump gate to Pearl is across the map sheet from the previous jump gate. Go through the Pearl jump gate near the last Pices station. The jump gate to Virgo from Thuban will drop you in Virgo Main. Due south of this gate is the jump gate to Rucker. Take this gate and dead center of the Rucker map sheet is the jump gate for Pearl. Once you arrive in Pearl, from either direction, the Arvoch WZ is a bit north of Pearl Prime. Command Arvoch Station and the Providence carrier await you there !

[ Or, you could try the war zones in north Sierra and north Cerulean systems. And the Talison Conflict Zone in north Talison, which might actually be a good place to start your military career.]

Try Talison Conflict. It's relatively tame compared to the other war zones. As for Hostile systems, you might want to practice in Fair systems first.

Hi and welcome.

If you start doing the IMG quest, it will guide you through a lot of stuff, including going from system to system with increased difficulty.
You'll learn a lot and get paid doing so.
