Updates on the future update Ideas I had.
I will just edit this post and bump it rather than make a new thread each time I complete a video part.
The first video explains itself, so I will just explain the videos that I do Not commentary... They are out of order btw, I was going to do one longer video which is why I was commenting in the first video, but it wont work out too well.
PArt 1: Self explained

Part 2: This one is a quick view from what you might see when in combat with another flag/capital ship. Basically, you just steer and hope you used the right guns and brought enough fighters to deploy from your ships hanger.
Each flagship/carrier you can drive has a command button [I don't know which key personally] that would launch fighters, bring fighters back one at a time, or all at once [or rapid press the retrieve fighter button]
Otherwise everything is really similar to what you already know.

Part 3: Orbital strike from larger/capital ships.
This one is for people who are on missions that require them to be on the ground, but not their friend who they can pay to help with orbital strikes. These missions would consist of ground battles between you and other people/bot[ai] ground units. Needless to say it will require a new planetary system for buildings, bases and battle optimized terrain and walkers. [Smaller walkers please!]
Or if someone is willing to go through the trouble of modeling, animating and texturing actual suits/people models to traverse the terrain without the assistance of a walker to carry a simple weapon and being able to infiltrate a building.
This isn't a patch, it's more of a full blown addon/update. I really hope you guys like these ideas and I REALLY hope these ideas are taken into a great consideration.

Updates on the future update Ideas I had.
the warp could go through at certain speeds that cost more fuel mk 1 slow - higher fuel mk6 fast - low fuel , like the fulcrum drive but with no distance restriction but a slight time difference

Updates on the future update Ideas I had.
So I just considered the fact of how empty everything seems if you aren't floating around stations. And if you are off in the distance there are only ships. What I love about most space environments is the fact that you can turn around and in almost every direction; see something new and dynamic. Asteroid fields here and there, maybe a nebula cloud somewhere near a few stations or planets is just barely cutting it. What if there were more stations, things with different shapes and look/feel. What about landing in a station hanger and getting out and shopping on foot? Maybe engaging in an on station/planet firefight. I know that would demand modeling human characters, but hey! I am all on board for helping out with modeling, sketching, or conceptional stuff, whatever! I just feel there is a scratched surface, but not much effort to see beyond the surface itself for this game.

I actually like the emptiness of evochron, it makes me feel like I'm actually out there.
If you look at other games like X3 for example, where every sector is filled with stations, asteroids and junk, it just doesn't feel like real space anymore.
I like playing X3, but it doesn't capture the "being in space" feeling like evochron does, mainly because of how crowded with objects it is.

Updates on the future update Ideas I had.
It's not so much the emptiness and spaceness... I mean there aren't that many different kinds of things. There are stars, planets, stations, and a few kinds of nebula. I was pretty tired last night, so my post is pretty vague up there. I mean there need to be more verity of things to find. Maybe more planets per system or a full on asteroid belt going all the way around the system's star instead of a few fields here and there. Planet life also. I mean that's where you will find the most fun is getting people to orbit a planet, and launch a walker, or even in a future update get out of your ship entirely and walk around on foot. I'm just thinking in terms of richness. Creatures, plant life, mountains, caves, perhaps a nebula where a flying space creature nests some hostile, some peaceful.
Space walks also are very underused in a great many games. Maybe you need to get out and manually fix a hull breach, or to build a station you need to do a little flying around and placing pieces in their spot.
When you land in a station, do a little space walk and get into the airlock, then you can go around a dynamic shopping center where some npc are hanging out and can engage in idle conversation.
I know I ramble with the ideas, but they are truly things that can go way beyond simply modding. Plus, I don't want to simply mod, I think these things should be true game content, available to everyone on the servers or single player, not just the modder and people who find the download link.

Maybe the biggest problem with a lot of ideas is that they mostly require massive amounts of code. That may seem easy to solve but maybe not to the (lol) coder.

Well, think of it this way. Was the original idea of the game worth all the code that went into it already? Why wouldn't a really good addon idea be worth some more?

Actually I'm lobbying for - National Take Your Chicken to Work / Boycott Bread, Mayo, Mustard, Lettuce, etc. Day.
