I would like to restart the contest for landing on the Earth. I firmly believe it can be done. And even it it's not me who cracks this mystery open, I would love to see someone do it.
The prize will be fifty billion credits! $50,000,000,000!
As before you will need to land on the Earth in MP with at least two witnesses and screenshots showing the ring and nav map.
I'm sure this goes without saying, in order to collect the prize you will have to be sworn to never reveal the method for landing to anyone for any reason, until you are on your deathbed.
And then....Vice will "adjust the parameters"....again. It's supposed to be a prize..... well earned by a few..... well sought by many.... please let it be so...

The big thing is what Busch said. Listen to the older and wiser generation and keep the "honor code" that was handed down by some hard lessons to a pilot like me. It made me a better person. Might be a good thing to learn. And the best pilots to learn from are Busch, SeeJay, Tbird, DaveK, and many more...

Prior to the Expansion, the Earth had a texture which "required" an explanation as to why it looked like it did. If nothing else, I'd be curious to see new screenshots of the "expanded" planet to see if it has now returned to its original state of hydration.
I have landed on Earth in the Expansion 2.xxx, and posted a picture in 3d in another thread. The landscape has changed and there is more variation in vegetation! As for the contest I'm always looking for ways to land on earth even if I have to move the world to do so!..........I have another theory to land on earth with the ring showing but I need 60,000,000,000 to prove it! Any sponsers will be appreciated!......:P

Wow... I really thought I had it for a moment. I won't go into detail on the method, but as I was drawing close to the Earth, just above the ring, I rotated so I was upside down and could see the ring above me. Then... my heart stopped, I was right under the ring, not even 1k away... victory!? Then the BOOM! as the FINAL warning sounded. Very interesting that I didn't receive the FIRST warning though. I think I see what must be done... I hope. Too late tonight for another lengthy experiment, but perhaps... tomorrow will be the day. (sigh)

To get past the security defense ring you will have to bribe or scam some body who is in charge/responsible for granting security clearance/access anyway!
I see a lot of traffic going and coming to/from earth when parked in orbit! So there must be some access way!.....:P

OK, here are pictures of Earth Landing with ring showing in 3D, unfortunately there where no witnesses. This was done on the Alpha Ceti Server at around 2 AM...
