A few questions
What are a few good mods that work with stock multiplayer? Is there any specific way to take out cap ships without a Fulcrum Torped? Is there any way to take down a station without a detonator? Can you hire pilots and ship in multiplayer? What are the war zones and what is special about them?

A few questions
Hello galahir950, and welcome! There are several mods available from the artist-craftsmen who've created them. All of them that I fly work in SP and MP capacities. Those mods that have been offered publicly, are posted mostly in the mods thread, here in forum. You can pretty much take your pick of what's workable for you/your gaming system. I fly a lot of them routinely, in order to find what may or may not break the game. Techniques vary but cap ships may be taken out, less the fulcrum torpedos. You'll have to find what works best for you. There is that freedom. Station detonators were designed to do just that - take out stations. The ones you can't take out permanently are the game-wired stations (non-player built). MP-space (both LAN/WAN) does not permit the hiring of additional AI/NPC ships; only in SP-mode may this be accomplished. You can hire other (human/player) pilots for contracts/missions in MP-space. The four dedicated war zones are all about carrying the fight to the Vonari. War zones are the sole locations where you may perform/complete the assigned missions and gain military rank points. Multiple way-point missions in the war zones, are rather excellent for group/cooperative efforts. All missions completed count towards mil rank increases.

There is a wiki, as far as I'm aware. I prefer using other info sources like the old Legends Strategy Guide and others. Pilot DaveK/Incoming has published/produced the Official Mercs Guide and the Hints & Tips compendium (contains "spoiler" info), of which you may wish to check out. Pilot SeeJay has an offering of both on his website(s).
