I'd mentioned this issue in the Clan thread. There is at least one other player that I know of who has encountered this identical issue. Whenever I detonate a station, on the Olympus Prime Server, it re-appears within `30 seconds of detonation. The stations in question are typically FF built trade stations or are built by FF members. This doesn't necessarily assign fault to the FF clan. However, I have no explanation or remedy to this issue. Any ideas?

Could be caused by a couple possible things:

- The server operator may have their save folder 'locked' for read only, resulting in not allowing alterations to their local universe data file.
- The server does not authorize the action for some reason (invalid time check, invalid name/ID data, etc).

When something like this occurs, you can have the server operator contact me to check on possible causes. Have them include their local data files from the server attached to the e-mail (message/event log and universe data file).

Thanks, Vice, for the prompt response. There was another player that offered a suggestion that resolved the issue. The error was on my side. Thanks again for your suggestions and take care.

Make sure you buy quality kit from splosives! Buying cheapy stuff can be more expensive in the long run :D

He was probably using an FF station detonator and thats why it failed. Splovies station detonators only blow up non-FF stations.

This is a frequent issue, I've seen it happening in many servers. If it can help, here is my humble experience about it :

- It is not ping related.
- Sometimes a pilot can detonate stations while an other logged in the same time cannot.
- Each time I tried to relog or even reboot my internet connexion I never could fix the issue (unlike Akhenhaten did).
- Formerly, if I remember correctly, when a detonated station went wrong, a generic StarportXXXXXXXX station was spawning in the same position with 2 messages in the chatlog saying something like "station destroyed" and then "station buildt in X Y Z". But now it's different : we don't get the chatlog message when the station explodes. The station reappears with the same name when we leave the sector, and there is no "station buildt" message either.
- It happens frequently when the server acts weirdly (example : sometimes people can't see other logged pilots in the player list. If it happens, the detonation problem will most probably occur).
- I asked Privateer to reboot Olympus Prime server 3 weeks ago because it was impossible to detonate stations, amongst other things. Just after the reboot, everything was fine, including station detonation.

I'm sure it happened at least one time on Olympus Prime, Chiron Beta Prime and the old SP6. I don't remember this happening in CAV.
