Renegade code for mercenary?

I am a returning pilot,used to play renegade years ago.
If i remeber right,I was told I could use the registration code from renegade in future games?Am I right?Or do I need to buy mercenary now?Or can I still play renengade?Or is everyone playing mercenary now? lol

As far as I know, everyone is playing Evochron Mercenary.

Ah ok thanks but does my renegade code unlock the full game for mercenary or not?
It doesn't seem to,unless I'm missing something?

I don't think you can use your old code. Both games are available for sale at different prices, so I guess you'll have to buy mercenary.

Mercenary is the follow-on to Legends. But you still needed to buy a new key for Mercenary. When Mercenary got a major upgrade ... the upgrade was free for those who bought the original version of Mercenary. Which is what you might've heard or read.

You can use your old Renegades code to get the latest Renegades version but You will have to buy Mercenary as a New Game.
