Do "element specfic" beams work on cargo pods?

On oxy and hydro missions as well. I think that you may find the regular old mine-tractor beam to be your most utile piece of ships' equippage. Short of your primary weapons, that is.

Yah, that was my conclusion too. I sold my gold beam for the money and bought a regular mine/tractor. Much more versatile.
