H2GE computer

Post by DORN »

Hi, Marvin,

For some reason after I unzipped the H2GE , the .exe would not run, and I get an error message saying that it is not a valid WIN32 application?

Any ideas? I downloaded it from Seejay's site.

Does it work all right with EM 2.0?

I have the original so I'm not certain about SeeJay's DL. Except that at least one person uses the SeeJay version. But you must have NET Framework 4.5 installed. It's free from Microsoft.

I checked for it for XP and there was a note saying that only 4.0 will work for XP.

Will that be good enough or does it really take 4.5 for Win7 and higher?

:o I did the flow diagram and my son converted it to C# ... using 4.5 (evidently it had a couple calls he liked which weren't available in 4.0). Next time he gets bored at work, I'll see if he can downgrade the thing to 4.0 ... until then, both of us are out of luck when using the program with WinXP (which is the OS on my "summer" computer).

How can I bribe your son to do the downgrade as of yesterday?

 I may have managed to convert the H2GE computer so that it runs under .NET Framework 4.0 ... gotta test it on my desktop computer to be sure.
