Hi all,
Today I was flying a multi-waypoint (I believe it was 5) patrol mission in the Talison warzone, and became stuck such that the next mission waypoint was never created, the mission was not complete, and no more bad guys were showing up at the current waypoint. Here is the sequence:
1. Accepted mission
2. Flew to first waypoint, defeated required Vonari
3. Next waypoint generated
4. Flew to next waypoint, defeated required Vonari
5. Next waypoint generated
6. Flew to next waypoint, defeated required Vonari
7. In the process, one of my Excalibur missiles hit a Navy ship, turning it red.
8. The next waypoint was not created, so I shot down the now red Navy ship
9. Waited around for 10 minutes at that mission waypoint.
10. Started hopping around the sector trying to find Vonari, but could not find any
11. Cancelled the mission.
Anyone ever get into a situation where a multi-waypoint patrol mission gets stuck this way? Anything I can do to get it back on track?
Cheers,
Brennan

Usually you can achieve the waypoint by searching and killing a red out of your radar range. Best way to find it is to deploy a sensor station.
I don't know why it's happening, maybe enemies leave your radar range chasing navy ships... Sometimes the server is glitching and enemies fly around at crazy speeds, if you see this, you can leave the sector and head back, but it will probably happen again... Best thing to do is to log in another server.
Maybe the issue is more complex than enemies leaving radar range, because I recall one time I've achieved a glitched waypoint by killing a capital ship in Talison WZ main sector. Though there is no capital ships in this sector's WP contracts. This ship wasn't initially part of the contract, it was a random spawn. I'm not sure, but it looks like after the glitch, the first red kill completes the contract.
I don't think it's related to navy hit, but I'll check if I see this again.

Ah, yes, a sensor array. I didn't think of that. I'll do that next time. From post: 159225, Topic: tid=10632, author=Marvin wrote:The AI (even the Vonari AI) aren't stupid. When they see that the fight is lost, they retreat. Luckily, they usually remain in the sector but out of radar range. That's when you do what Triton suggests: deploy a sensor array and track them down.
